John Juanda is one of the original members of Team Full Tilt Poker and has a vested interest in the online poker room.
Juanda was recruited into the main circle of successful online poker professionals such as Howard Lederer and Phil Ivey because of his stellar tournament record and massive career winnings total.
Juanda has more than $9 Million in career tournament winnings and has 4 WSOP bracelets and 49 career WSOP cashes.
These 49 cashes rank 9th in WSOP history, and 4 of them came in 2009, which shows that Juanda is still one of the most feared tournament players alive.
Even more impressive is the fact that he made the final table in each of these 4 cashes and came very close to winning another gold bracelet.

Juanda was born in Medan, Indonesia on July 8th, 1971, and he stayed there throughout his childhood.
Juanda was then accepted by Oklahoma State University in 1990 and came over to the states at this time.
John was actually a very strong athlete in his high school years, starring as a track runner in both distance and spring races.

John’s first big poker win came in 1998 when he took down the 1998 Los Angeles Poker Classic limit hold’em event for $31.8K.
Juanda continued to have plenty of success in poker tournaments through the next few years and was named the top tournament player by Card Player magazine in 2001 and 2002.
John’s first WSOP bracelet came in his second year as Card Player’s top tourney player when he took down almost $50,000 in the $1.5K triple draw lowball ace to five event.

John’s biggest tournament win and his most recent WSOP bracelet are actually one in the same.
John took down $1.7 Million for winning the 2008 WSOP Europe main event.
The buy-in was approximately $20K USD and Juanda had to wade his way through a field of 362 of the best poker players in the world.

Juanda is still one of the best poker players in the world and you can learn, chat and play with John online at Full Tilt Poker.
Juanda usually plays the bigger events at Full Tilt, such as the FTOPS events or the big Sunday tourneys.
